At Etching Hill Primary Academy, our children are at the centre of all that we do.  We are incredibly proud of our high quality Early Years provision. Our children have the opportunity to lead their own learning, whether it be inside one of our wonderful classrooms or outside in our engaging outdoors and our Woodland Nursery. At age 2, children can join our Pre-School, moving into Rising 3 and Nursery as they turn 3 ready for Reception at 4.

Children are encouraged and supported to be independent, take on new challenges and explore the world around them. Our highly trained team of teachers and nursery practitioners are on hand at all times to further our children’s learning and help them to discover and experience new things.

We offer a full and busy play based curriculum for your children. We plan from the children’s interests, which takes us on many exciting adventures; from pirates to superheroes, fairies to under the sea…the possibilities are endless! By planning learning based on what inspires our children, we maximise natural curiosity, working on the understanding that when children are motivated and engaged, their learning experiences have no limits.

Etching Hill is a two-form entry school, therefore in Nursery we offer 52 places. The success of our entire Early Years team is evident in our upward trend of achievement of a good level of development. We are infinitely proud of our children. They continue their learning journey into Reception and Key Stage 1 ready to meet any challenges with a thirst for learning, a resilience to keep on trying and the strength of character to become the best that they can be.
